  9. Here are the sources *exactly* as they are finished compiling as per Geek
  10. Gadtes II (ADE-2).

  13. To recompile.

  16. Please note, I am telling you how *I* compiled mSQL-2.0b3 on _MY_ Amiga
  17. setup.  What worked for me may not work for you.
  18.  
  19. 1. Do *exactly* as said in the dox. Do not try to be clever or shortcuts.
  20. 2. Load a shell, I used "ksh" on ADE-2.
  21. 3. Install DosWedge from Aminet.  I did maybe it needs it.
  22. 4. UnLha archive then change to the amiga target directory.
  23. 5. Add a a lias:   export cc='gcc'
  24.    export yacc='bison -Y'
  25. 6. In the Amiga target direcory, from your shell ("ksh") type "./setup".
  26. 7. Then follow the instructions as per mSQL dox again.
  27. 8. Make coffee, play games. Watch a video.  This is gonna take long time.
  28. 9. When all is well you should just have to type "Make Install".  Remember
  29. that assignment to mSQL: or your install wont work?

  31. Once again, I just followed the instructions on how to compile from the
  32. mSQL dox.   Do not crucify me, I know just about zippo about Unix this
  33. looked intersting to do and I did it.  Also I want a SQL-Server on amiga
  34. this is the closest we will get.  Any wise-ass comment, keep them for
  35. yourself unless you can do better than me.

  38. a FAQ etc  Also, note. This was a 100% port of the Unix sources.  What you
  39. compile here should compile on any Unix I suppose.

  42. Equipment used for mSQL-2.0b3:
  43. 1. Amiga A1200, Viper MkII 68030-28Mhz  with 18Mb RAM
  44. 2. 520Mb 3.5" internal Seagate harddisk.
  45. 3. 24x Creative Labs CD-ROM drive
  46. 4. Geek Gadgets II CD-ROM.
  47. 5. Cnet-Cn40BC PCMCIA ethernet card on A1200 hooked to Win95 network.
  48. 6. Miami 2.92d
